Bed and Breakfasts in Stratford

Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of our guests and the following statement is a summary of our access provision.

As the whole building was renovated between November 2007 and June 7th 2008 the building, car park and accommodation comply with the relevant building regulations. There is a fire alarm system installed and sound insulation between the ground and first floor.

Prior to arrival

• Loxley Guest house is located a five minute walk from the center of the village of Loxley and is approximately 3.5 miles from the centre of Stratford, which can be reached by car or taxi as there is infrequent public transport to and from the village.
• Stratford Upon Avon railway station is approximately 4.5 miles away and Wariwck station approximately 8 miles.
• There are local Taxis available that can accommodate most accessibilty needs. Please ask for further information.
• Our Breakfast Menu and website are available in large print if required.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

• All parking is off road and secure and can accommodate up to 5 vehicles
• Access to the parking area is to the side of the house but is narrow but will accommodate all family saloons and 4x4
• The surfcae of the car park is flat and surfaced with gravel which leads to a level slabbed path towards the entrance of the Guest House.
• There are two single steps between the parking area and main entrance door (Step1 - 12cm high) (Step 2 (15cm high).
• Guests will be offered assistance with their luggage on arrival and departure.
• The  driveway, car park and path to main entrance have automatic movement lighting when dark.

Main Entrance and Hallway and Breakfast Room

• The main entrance door is always locked but there is a bell that is located 128cm from the floor.
• There is a further small step ( 7cm ) through the main entrance door into the hallway.
• There is an automatic movement trigger light when you enter the entrance door if dark or reduced light.
• The floor in the entrance hallway and breakfast room is level and firm with the breakfast room leading off from the hallway.(Ground Floor)
• All furniture and chairs in the breakfast room can be moved if required to accommodate and facilitate any requirement where possible.
• Menus are in larger print but can be read if required.

Guest Rooms

• We have four guest rooms which are located on the 1st Floor and one room located on the ground floor.
• All rooms are en-suite with non slip tiling on the floor and in shower.
• All bedrooms have medium pile carpet
• There is a single chair in every room with a further reading chair in two of the rooms
• All windows where required are are designed to allow access in the event of a fire.
• All doors within the building are fire doors and close automatically.

In the Event of Fire

• On hearing the fire alarm please leave your room quickly and leave via the main entrance door and meet in the Guest House carpark.
